Ximena Benavides is a J.S.D. candidate at Yale Law School, where she received her LL.M. and was awarded the John M. Olin Fellowship in Law, Economics, and Public Policy in 2006. Ximena researches and writes about institutional corruption, healthcare system reform, and healthcare innovation. Focusing on the U.S. healthcare system, her doctoral work examines how the structural dynamics of institutional arrangements, created by legal rules and policies, create obstacles to the delivery of health care and the advancement of the determinants of health.
