Tomoki Matsuno, originally from Ibaraki, Japan, is a first-year student at Harvard, studying Government. He is particularly interested in analyzing the policy-making methodologies implemented in East Asian nations and experimenting with quantitative methods (causal inference). Tomoki was a Youth Representative at the 2019 Y20 Summit (Official Engagement Group of G20) where he created policy recommendations on International Trade and Future of Work with G20 officials. He currently serves as a Senior Japan Country Coordinator at IAPSS and a Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum. He also works on a social anthropology research at the Edwin O. Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard University.
