About The Corporate Internship Project

Delivered by Learn With Leaders in collaboration with Jiva Ag, this esteemed Corporate Internship Project, aims to understand the current farm ecosystem in your region. Through this intensive Zoom-led 8-week Experiential Learning Internship Project, students will explore how the smallholders farmers derive livelihood and the percentage of final price which accrues to them. Under the guidance of Harvard Student Mentors, participants will delve into some of the innovations Jiva Ag has brought in Indonesia, their applicability to your region and, finally, propose recommendations to Jiva Ag on how they could further solve the problem of ensuring that the smallholders get a higher percentage of produce.

About Jiva Ag

Smallholder Farmers are the key to solving world hunger. Ironically, they are amongst the world’s most hungry people. Founded in 2020, Jiva is on a mission to improve their livelihoods. Jiva believe that farmers who grow 70% of the world’s food should be prosperous. Eventually, we want to support all 500 million smallholder farmers and help secure our future food supply. Jiva currently operates in Indonesia.

About the Experiential Learning Project

This project offers hands-on experience in analyzing agricultural ecosystems and developing innovative solutions to empower smallholder farmers. Participants will gain practical insights into addressing real-world challenges and contributing to sustainable agricultural practices. The outcome of the project will be a PowerPoint presentation that will conclude on actionable recommendations for enhancing smallholder farmers' livelihoods and optimizing Jiva Ag's impact in the region.
