About The Corporate Internship Project

Dive into the world of agricultural innovation with the Jiva Ag Corporate Internship Project, an exciting 6-week Zoom-led experiential learning opportunity by Jiva Ag in collaboration with Harvard Student Mentors. This project invites students to explore the dynamics of smallholder farming in your region, understanding how these farmers earn their livelihood and the proportion of the final price that benefits them.

Under the guidance of Harvard Student Mentors, you’ll examine Jiva Ag’s groundbreaking innovations in Indonesia, evaluate their relevance to your area, and craft strategic recommendations to help Jiva Ag ensure that smallholder farmers receive a greater share of their produce’s value.

About Jiva Ag

Smallholder Farmers are the key to solving world hunger. Ironically, they are amongst the world’s most hungry people. Founded in 2020, Jiva is on a mission to improve their livelihoods. Jiva believe that farmers who grow 70% of the world’s food should be prosperous. Eventually, we want to support all 500 million smallholder farmers and help secure our future food supply. Jiva currently operates in Indonesia.

About the Experiential Learning Project

This project offers hands-on experience in analyzing agricultural ecosystems and developing innovative solutions to empower smallholder farmers. Participants will gain practical insights into addressing real-world challenges and contributing to sustainable agricultural practices. The outcome of the project will be a PowerPoint presentation that will conclude on actionable recommendations for enhancing smallholder farmers' livelihoods and optimizing Jiva Ag's impact in the region.
