About The Corporate Internship Project
Delivered by Learn With Leaders in collaboration with FC Madras, this esteemed Corporate Internship Project is dedicated to nurturing grassroots football growth in India. This intensive 8-week Zoom Led Corporate Internship Project delves into the nation's football landscape, scrutinizing rankings, club structures, and leagues. The project strategically narrows its focus on the intricacies of grassroot football academies, meticulously studying FC Madras's model and its differentiating factors. Under the guidance of Harvard Student Mentors, students will address current shortcomings, propose a resilient academy model, and critically evaluate its profound societal impact.
About FC Madras
FC Madras is a youth academy accredited by AIFF, based out of Chennai, India, focussed on generating India’s next batch of football superstars. The academy's infrastructure and customized coaching programs enable young footballers to bridge the gap between talent and excellence. FC Madras offers scholarships & financial assistance for residential & non-residential student-athlete programs for the development of elite youth footballers under-13 & under-15 groups. Built based on prescribed UEFA standards for youth academies, FC Madras provides student-athletes with world-class facilities for football training, entertainment, and education for overall youth development.
About the Experiential Learning Project
The project aims to explore the integral role of grassroots football academies in nurturing and developing young talent, guiding them from amateur levels to professional, national, and international stages. The focus will extend to structuring these academies, refining talent scouting processes by integrating global benchmarks and local considerations. The researcher will specifically delve into insights from Integrated Campuses in Europe, Scandinavia, and the USA.
About the Experiential Learning Project
With the ultimate goal of elevating Indian football, the project seeks to recommend an optimal academy model, addressing challenges both on and off the field. The outcomes will be presented through a concise PowerPoint or a 1500–2000-word research paper, concluding on the proposed model's impact on players, the game, and society.
